If you have QuickTime 7.7 on a Windows computer, the game will fail on startup. Please use QuickTime 6.5 or QuickTime Alternative instead.

Famous Writer does not support Windows 7 or Vista although the game is playable to the end, it may crash during play.

QuickTime may fail to read the game data, resulting in this error.
Please install one of the versions of QuickTime noted earlier in this file.

This error may occur when playing the game in Windows.
Right click on Famous Writer.exe, and go to Properties. Set the
application to run in compatibility mode and as a root user.

Make sure you are not still seeding the torrent when you play because the bittorrent client locks your files into read-only and causes problems with saving.
